Ajay is an exciting, explosive and hugely talented cricketer. With the bat in hand, he has a commanding presence at the crease with the sole aim of taking the attack to opposition bowlers and producing a big score for his team. He has an excellent ability to score runs freely to all corners of the ground against both pace and spin. A very adaptable batsman, he is able to shift his style of play and approach depending on the conditions and game situation. He is a smart cricketer that knows his game well. He always has a plan when going out to bat which is what makes him a dominating batsman and a prolific run scorer.
Ajay doubles up as a useful spin bowling option with his off-spinners that can often be seen to break partnerships.
Ajay begun his professional cricket journey at Madhya Pradesh in 2018 with a dream start to his career scoring an unbeaten 267. During his time at Madhya Pradesh opportunities became limited and after four years at the club he was let go. After a year hiatus, Ajay was thrown a lifeline by Puducherry and in his first season averaged 47.87 and scored four half-centuries.
In 2023, Ajay signed for Golborne CC in the Greater Manchester Cricket League where he exceeded expectations.
He made a return to the UK in 2025, this time for Kearsley CC in the North West Cricket League. During the season he scored 674 runs with an average of 42.13 and picked up 9 wickets.
Looking to make a return to the UK in 2026, Ajay would make for an excellent option for any club looking for a guaranteed match-winner and a batsman that will dominate any bowling attack.
