Bailey is a hard-working seam-bowling all-rounder and one of the most decorated young products of West Yorkshire club cricket. At 19, he combines a wicket-taking new-ball threat with a dependable middle-order bat. He would arrive with a full season of Australian cricket already behind him.
Throughout his junior career, Bailey was predominately a top order batsman but has transitioned into more of an all-rounder upon playing senior cricket. With the ball, Bailey is a right-arm medium-pacer who bowls with control and has a knack for breakthroughs. His standout senior moment came in 2024, when he claimed his first five-wicket haul and a hat-trick in the same season for Morley CC's Second XI. Performances that earned him the club's Players' Player award. He is a bowler who builds pressure and strikes, equally comfortable taking the new ball or returning to break a partnership.
With the bat, Bailey is a left-hander who has settled into the middle order, where his temperament and adaptability are best suited. He has the ability to stabilise and rebuild an innings as well as take the attack to the bowlers when the situation calls for it. He has senior runs across the board, including a maiden senior century for Morley's Third XI in 2023 and a top score of 81 for the First XI in 2025. Proof he can contribute meaningfully with bat as well as ball.
Bailey's cricket has been built on an exceptional development pathway. A three-time Junior Player of the Year (2019, 2021 and 2023), he came through the Morley CC junior set-up as a standout talent, representing the Heavy Woollen district, West Yorkshire and YCB East & Central Region along the way. He made his senior debut at just 13 and has progressed through every level since. In 2023 he earned a place at the prestigious Yorkshire Cricket College in Headingley, where two years of elite coaching, world-class facilities and a focus on fitness have sharpened his game. At college he completed his NCFE Level 3 in Sport, and during his time there he was invited to bowl against the Yorkshire Women's team.
Now playing his senior cricket for Hunslet Nelson CC in the Bradford Premier Cricket League, Bailey is also a well-travelled cricketer for his age. He has played in South Africa with Yorkshire Cricket College, featured in the European Cricket Network in Jersey, and spent the 2025/26 season in Australia with Pascoe Vale Hadfield CC in Melbourne, where he proved he can adapt to unfamiliar conditions and perform away from home. For a club considering an import, that experience removes the guesswork: Bailey has already done it.
Off the field, Bailey adds the value every club wants. An ECB Level 1 qualified coach, he has experience assisting with Morley's Panthers Girls U13s, has coached the club's U15s, and has worked their summer camps alongside former Yorkshire seamer Moin Ashraf. Genuinely passionate about the game in every form - playing, coaching and watching, he brings energy, a strong work ethic and real community value. Young, driven and improving year on year, Bailey is an all-rounder with strong experience both in the UK and overseas.
