Bailey is an exciting, young all-rounder with huge potential.
Being the versatile batsman that he is, Bailey can bat and has experience batting anywhere in the top 6. Throughout most of his youth he plied his trade as a wicket-keeper however in the past year and a half has hung up his gloves and turned his focus to seam bowling when he discovered his potential and natural talent with the ball.
Bailey possesses the ability to steady the innings and build crucial partnerships but also has the ability to release a more attacking and explosive batting style once he gets going. With the ball, he is often seen bowling first or second change where he bowls with excellent consistency whilst having the ability to swing the ball both ways and use his variations to good effect.
Growing up, Bailey was consistently selected to represent West Yorkshire, Heavy Woollen and Yorkshire CCC East & Central across the various age groups. Having played for Morley CC from a young age, Bailey always stood out as a top performer and an up and coming talent for the club. He consistently won the Batting and Player of the Year awards for Morley CC juniors from u11 to u18.
In 2024, he predominantly played for Morley CC 2nd XI where he scored over 450 runs and averaged 33. During this time, he featured in a number of 1st XI matches too. In 2025, he earned a full time call up to the Morley CC 1st XI who compete in Division 1 of the prestigious Bradford Premier League. In just the fourth game of the season he struck a blistering, match-winning performance of 84 runs off just 54 balls.
Bailey is currently in his final year at Yorkshire Cricket College. During this time he has improved his skills, was selected for a tour to South Africa, was invited to be a net bowler for the Yorkshire Women's team and was selected to play in the European Cricket Network T10 tournament which took place in Jersey.
Bailey currently holds an ECB Level 1 coaching certificate and has experience working with the Morley CC juniors (boys u13, u15 and girls teams) and has experience working at cricket camps run by ex-professional Moin Ashraf.
Bailey is now seeking his first season in Australia where he will be looking to develop his skills further. A talented all-rounder, great fielder and a student of the game with immense passion, Bailey would be an excellent addition to any club.
