Mncedisi is a highly talented and consistent top order batsman. The classy left-hander displays exceptional skill and confidence when at the crease, and is capable of providing his team with a strong start. Moreover, he has the ability to anchor the innings when required. Mncedisi is a proficient boundary-finder and enjoys taking on the bowlers. Although he is primarily a wicket-keeper, he started his career as a bowler and can still be seen bowling in the nets during practices.
Mncedisi has been an integral part of numerous Border age group squads, participating in prestigious national tournaments such as the CSA U17 Week, the CSA Franchise Cubs Week, and the Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Week. He attended the University of Fort Hare where he represented the 1st team in tournaments like the Momentum National Clubs Championship.
Making his First Class debut in 2016, Mncedisi has retained his position on the team list due to his versatility as a batsman, capable of batting in both the top and middle order. His consistent performances with the bat is a testament to his skills and dependability.
He had an excellent 2024/25 campaign in the CSA 4-Day Cup scoring 372 runs with an average of 33.81 which included 1 century and 2 half centuries. During that season he was the leading run-scorer for Border and fell just outside the top 10 in the tournament.
Picking up where he left off last year, Mncedisi scored a played century in the second match of the 2025/26 campaign.
