Monroux is an exciting up and coming young talent. Typically seen batting at the top of the order, he bats with a good head on his shoulders. He carefully crafts his innings, knowing when to dig in and when to take the attack to the bowlers. He likes to get off to a good start and get settled by rotating strike and putting the bad balls away before taking too many risks. I reliable option at the top of the order. He is also a talented wicket-keeper. He possesses a safe pair of hands behind the stumps with excellent reflexes.
Monroux grew up in South Africa where he played his cricket at Boksburg CC. During his junior years, he represented Eastern Gauteng. In 2023, at just 17 years old, Monroux made his debut for Botswana and has been a prominent member of the side ever since. He scored his maiden international half-century against a strong Rwandan side. He recently competed in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers playing against the likes of Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Namibia, Uganda and Malawi.
Monroux currently plays in the highest in league in Botswana but wants more of a challenge which is why he is returning to Johannesburg to play premier league cricket for Alberton CC.
Monroux is now seeking his maiden season in the UK. He would be a great pick up for a club looking for a talented, enthusiastic and hard working cricketer to bolster their batting lineup.
